Looking for some online, asynchronous volunteer opportunities? Here are some organizations we recommend!

Virtual Opportunities

Join the Free Minds Program in responding to poems written by authors in federal incarceration. Did you know that many people who are federally incarcerated are sent to prisons far away from home? This program provides a voice and an outlet for minors and young adults. The poems are posted to the website and your comments and feedback are recorded and then passed back to the authors. You are encouraged to scan the website to see more about this amazing organization.

For young people dealing with mental health struggles, often there is nothing greater than a person-to-person connections. Your letter is a support for those who are fighting through difficult times. Once you sign up and read some sample letters, you will carefully craft you words before digitally submitting your letter. Once your letter is approved by a moderator, a stranger will anonymously receive your letter, and you’ll digitally receive one written by someone else too.
